About

Jonathan at Library.jpeg

I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas in 2007. I spent the following ten years working with adolescents who had experienced traumatic relational wounds by their caregivers. I then earned my Master of Science degree from the University of St. Thomas specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019. Throughout my graduate studies, I facilitated groups at an Intensive Outpatient Program for individuals who presented with a dual diagnosis of a mood or personality disorder and a substance use disorder.

I am currently a PhD student and my research interests include addiction, formerly incarcerated individuals, the LGBT community, and fostering multicultural competencies among counselors-in-training.
